Success Stories
Case #1: A CEO who had just completed the merger and integration of his former company into another sought coaching regarding what might be the new possibilities for his career. Jack engaged in a dialog with him that produced a focus on fresh options that appealed to the CEO’s needs and desires for his next role. He is once again an active and productive CEO.
Case #2: A young and aggressive mid-level manager at a long established equipment distribution company sought coaching from Jack around how to be more effective, both strategically and tactically, in serving his company’s senior leadership and owners. Together their conversations explored new learning around executive presence – when and how to utilize various dispositions such as stability, determination, flexibility and openness – and around powerful communications – how to make explicit requests, offers, assessments, declarations and assertions to others. The client is now acknowledged as an up and coming leader in his company.
Case #3: A well-respected former lawyer was in the midst of creating another new series of entrepreneurial ventures through which he sought, at last, his true life’s work and career contentment. Most important of all, the ventures needed a CEO which he assessed was someone other than himself. Together he and Jack explored why he held this belief, whether those reasons mattered, and what he could do about it. Soon he overcame his obstacles, adopted a new outlook full of ambition and openness, and emerged with the determination to be the CEO of the new ventures.
Case #4: A long-established privately-held business was beset by several problems including, among other things, the lack of a strategic business planning process, conflicts among the owners as to how to reach their personal and corporate financial and lifestyle objectives, and questions concerning the required motivations, capabilities and behaviors needed to grow and succeed. To meet these needs Jack created an enterprise business plan for the owners and their business that provided solid recommendations for actions addressing three key areas - planning and goal setting, marketing and sales development and execution, and workflow processes and support systems. Then one of Jack’s strategic partners devised a comprehensive array of strategies and tactics to achieve the personal financial and lifestyle objectives of each owner. As a result, a full range of workable solutions for the entire spectrum of personal and corporate financial and lifestyle concerns of the company and its owners came together from Jack and his partners.
