FAQ

This page will help you understand Jack’s services and their benefitsPlaceholder Image as well as how to differentiate Jack’s skills from other executive coaches and consultants. Following is a list of questions Jack is frequently asked about him and his services. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact Jack at 610-564-8456 or jwarnock@jwstrategicadvisors.com.

Q. Your expertise is in corporate development, finance and management – so why are you now also an executive coach?

A. Because people just like me in corporate jobs are asking to (and striving to) do better with their work, their relationships, their organizations and their careers. To do so they want to talk to someone who has tackled the same concerns they have and is a business person too. They really don’t want to quit. They don’t want therapy either. They just don’t want to tolerate any more of the same stuff that they now deal with, day in and day out. They want to succeed.

Q. I know many people just like you who are coaches and consultants. What makes you different than them?

A. To each relationship I bring every part of my more than 30 years of business experience – the deals won, the jobs lost, the people mentored, and the promises betrayed – all without sugar coating and fluff. I care greatly about my clients. I work hard with them, because I want them to win and to get what they want from a productive coaching experience.

Q. I’m really ok. I’m making lots of money. I own all the things I want. So why do I need coaching from you?

A. Perhaps you don’t. But I’m willing to bet you that when you stop, sit and observe your life’s work, you’ll discover that something isn’t quite right; isn’t the way you want it; and just plainly could be better. And if you’re still not sure, email me (no charge; no obligation; and strictly confidential), we’ll talk and you’ll learn if having me coach you is for you or not.

Q. How will I know if your coaching of me works? If it doesn’t, can I fire you?Placeholder Image

A. From the outset you and I will co-create our relationship through a contract and your own set of objectives – what you want to change, learn or make happen. Whether we work together for three, six, twelve or more months depends upon your belief that the coaching is working for you. That might show up in things like better business results, more money in your pocket, or a happier boss, spouse or co-worker. It might show up in shifts in your awareness, actions, moods or conversations. Hopefully, you’ll get a surprise or two and get something good from our coaching that you didn’t even expect.

And yes you can fire me if it’s not working. But I just reserve the right to end our relationship first if I believe that it isn’t working.

Q. All right, I see that you have your business experience, but what else qualifies you to be my coach?

A. I earned my core coaching training at Villanova University through Newfield Network, an ICF (International Coach Federation) Accredited Training Program, and one of the world’s best rated coaching organizations. In addition, I have been trained to provide a variety of assessments to support my coaching process, and I will use them solely when it is beneficial to your learning. My experience has earned me the ICF’s Associated Certified Coach (ACC) credential as well.

Q. I’ve heard some stories about coaches who weren’t good coaches or very good at coaching. How do I know that you’re not one of those?

A. Just like every other profession (i.e. law, accounting, medicine, etc.) you can encounter some coaches who are better than others. I have vowed to coach under the ICF’s Code of Ethics which you can find on the ICF website (www.coachfederation.org) or I can send it to you when you email me. As for being a good or a bad coach – I’m very good. But like I said earlier, if I’m not, please fire me.

Q. Do you do any work other than executive coaching?

A. Yes. I happily serve many client companies as a strategic advisor and business consultant to them. I help solve their problems, resolve conflicts, work more effectively, create new strategies, change attitudes, put money in their pockets and assure future success. Even if I never coach at all but satisfy these needs, my clients always win!

Q. I’m ready for coaching with you. Can we talk?

A. Sure, I would be happy to give you a free and confidential consultation. Please email me at jwarnock@jwstrategicadvisors.com with your request. Please be specific in your description of what it is that you want from our coaching as well as how to reach you. Or click here to fill out our contact form.
